Internationale dag van het naakt tuinieren leverde weer leuke plaatjes op (foto's)

Dankzij het zonnige weekend werden tuinevenementen en -winkels weer overspoeld met dames en heren met groene vingers. Gelukkig voor de winkeliers netjes met de kleren aan.

Want vijf mei mocht dan wel World Naked Gardening Day zijn, het werd wel ten zeerste aangeraden om het Eva- of Adam-kostuum pas aan te trekken binnen de grenzen van de eigen tuin. Deze dag werd geïntroduceerd door de Amerikaanse nudistenorganisatie Body Freedom Collaborative en vindt traditioneel plaats op de eerste zaterdag van mei.

Volgens de organisatie kan naakt tuinieren bijdragen aan een positief zelfbeeld en is tuinieren een activiteit die zowel naakt als met kleren aan kan uitgevoerd worden. Zoals elk jaar kunnen vrolijke en dartelende tuinmannen- en vrouwen het niet laten om op deze dag hun wiebelende courgettes en hangende tulpenbollen te delen met de rest van de wereld. 

Conclusie? De grond moet vochtig blijven om te vermijden dat de wortels uitdrogen.
